Management

  • Oded Ben-Joseph, Ph.D., MBA, President & CEO
    Dr. Ben-Joseph brings significant executive, entrepreneurial and transactional experience to his role as CEO of Deep Vein Medical. He is also Executive-in-Residence at Oxford Bioscience Partners. Dr. Ben-Joseph was formerly CEO and co-founder of Caliber Therapeutics, Inc., engaged in the development of catheter-based drug delivery products for the intervention of atherosclerotic diseases. His past managerial and entrepreneurial positions included President and CEO of X-Cell Medical, Inc., a clinical stage drug/device convergence company engaged in the development of novel stent-based anti-restenotic drugs, President of Ester Neurosciences, a clinical stage biotech company engaged in the development of novel compounds for the treatment of neurological diseases and CEO and co-founder of Biolight Phototherapy, a company engaged in the development of medical devices for the treatment of dermatological disorders and allergies. He was also Assistant Professor at the Departments of Radiology and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan, a visiting Associate Professor at Tokushima University in Japan and a Visiting Scientist at Parke-Davis. Dr. Ben-Joseph has published over 30 peer-review papers and has received numerous awards and scholarships. He graduated with Honors from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (U.K.) and received his Ph.D. from Cambridge University (U.K). He completed his post-doctoral training at University of Michigan and received an MBA magna cum laude from University of Bradford.
  • Lisa Jordan Dunlea, M.Eng., MBA, Chief Technology Officer & Executive VP of Business Development
    Ms. Jordan has over 12 years of operating and investment experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Deep Vein Medical, Ms Jordan was a Principle at Oxford Bioscience Partners. She was also a Kauffman Fellow at Spray Venture. Ms. Jordan served on the Board of Directors for Tryton Medical, a cardiovascular device company and Solace Therapeutics, a urology device company, and was a board observer for Acorn Cardiovascular, a cardiovascular device company. Ms. Jordan is a co-founder and Board member of Pulmonary Therapeutics, an interventional pulmonology device company and was a co-founder of Arterial Innovations, a peripheral vascular device company. She was an integral part of MyoScience, a dermatology medical device company, from inception to the first round of institutional funding. Ms. Jordan has held management positions in engineering within the Vascular Surgery Department at The Cleveland Clinic and marketing within the Vascular Division of Medtronic. Her prior work experience includes positions with Johnson & Johnson, General Electric, and United Technologies in positions of increasing responsibility. Ms. Jordan received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University and an M.B.A from The Wharton School of Business.
